ONGOING ACTIVITIES

Friday Morning Hikes
Various club members arrange hikes on Friday mornings at 10:00am. Many hiking trails around thegreater Kalamazoo area are explored on these excursions with specific locations to be announced on the forum.  Keep your eye on the forum.

Sunday Impromptu Hikes and Ski Outings
Rand L. leads impromptu events on Sunday afternoons and occasionally on other days.  Watch for e-mails on the Forum from Rand. 

Wednesday Evening Indoor Climbing
6 PM every Wednesday night. Usually at Climb Kalamazoo on the downtown Kalamazoo Mall.  Occasional trips to Grand Rapids and Ann Arbor climbing gyms. Watch the Forum for announcements.

Wednesday Evening Peddle/Paddles
Bike rides or kayak outings alternating two weeks of bike rides (peddles) then two weeks of kayak/canoe outings (paddles)
Watch the GLAC Forum for weekly e-mails from Dave G. detailing time and place of the events.

Second Thursday Rollerblading
Dave G. is rollerblading on the second Thursday of the month. Watch the Forum for more details prior to the event.

Garvey South West Michigan Land Conservancy Property

Zoo De Mack Bicycle Tour
Harbor Springs to Mackinaw City

19+ Glac members will carpool and ride the 51 mile tour around the northwest tip of the mitt on this fully supported ride. Contact Brad P.

Backpacking Appalachian Trail

Dates may vary somewhat according to weather and members who are interested. Starting point will be a continuation of the April trip. This trip may be preparation for those of you who plan on going to the Grand Teton National Park. Contact Bobbi A

JUNE

National Trails Day Event, Lowell MI
June 2
GLAC members have been invited to participate in this event being planned by The North Country Trail Association. This event will be located in the Lowell area, 10 miles east of Grand Rapids. Lowell is the headquarters of the N.C.T.A. We will have several hikes, perhaps kayaking on the Flat River, food, Etc. Looking for a leader for GLAC participation.

Three Rivers Bike Fest

Come join us for a fun bike ride in Three Rivers, Sunday, June 3rd. Breakfast and Lunch will be served, route is marked and is 45 miles long. There is one Sag Stop at mile 17 and
