SUMMARY:Winter Rafting on the Sturgeon River
DESCRIPTION:Sturgeon River PaddleSports provides a guided rafting trip through the winter on the Stugeon River.  Guides handle the raft navigation\, while we paddle.  There’s more opportunity to see animals like bald eagles during the winter when things are quieter.  Deb is coordinating and has reserved 2 boats (6 people per guide on each raft)\, one mainly filled already with family\, but the other is open for anyone to join until it fills up. Other winter activities may be planned around the rafting trip that weekend.  Watch the forum for details.  Price ranges from $45.00 – $60.00 per person depending on the number of paddlers.  Check with Deb for exact cost

DESCRIPTION:At meetings\, members announce\, plan\, and sign up for new trips and activities. We also hear about recent trips\, vote on equipment purchases\, and discuss a little club business. We try to keep formal business discussions to a minimum\, and we try to keep meetings to an hour (hour and a half at most.)\nBusiness issues affecting the club are addressed by the elected GLAC Board members. Important issues are researched by the Board before being brought before the members for a vote. \nAnyone that is curious about our club\, feel free to stop by a meeting! We’ll introduce you to the club\, answer any questions you may have\, and provide materials for you to join while you are there! \n*In January\, we will be discussing changes to the meeting format\, possibly adjust dates/times for our monthly meetings and overall format to reduce businees discussions and add more interesting topics to attract members*
