Fall Trip (Part B – North Carolina)

As you may know, Shahed A, one of our GLAC members has moved to Raleigh, NC and invited us to come down to explore the area. We are working with a knowledgeable paddler- Rich A of the Carolina Kayak Club to put together an itinerary and make the necessary arrangements for boat rentals, etc. Rich knows the waters well and will guide us as we visit some unique places to kayak.

Planning is well underway for a trip that will run from October 2nd- 9th or 10th. Please see the Forum posting on June 17 for full itinerary. Most lodging has been reserved. We are hoping to have a group of 10- 18 people participate. Group size will be limited based on when all the sleeping spots in the VRBOs have been assigned. This will be done as you confirm your intention to participate. You will notice there are multiple segments to our stay in North Carolina. If you would like to come but can only do a portion of it, let me know. We will accommodate as many as we are able to. If you want to work on arranging your own lodging and want to join the paddles, go ahead and give it a try. Again, let me know. Once I have reached capacity I will start a wait-list. Check your calendars and secure your spot if you are interested in participating.
